I'm on a boat...

We rented a boat with the Oslunds (Heidi and Oz) and the Lanes (Shay and Nick).  It was about $10 each from the marine base on the windward side.  There is a large natural sandbar in the middle of the bay that is pretty impressive and probably the most peaceful place I've ever stood.

Rex was spinning and dropped on the sandbar.

We're hanging out by the boat on the edge of the sandbar.  That's Kaneohe area behind us.  You probably recognize the mountains if you've seen lost.

I am still impressed by how shallow it all was.

There don't seem to be any pics of it, but we were really close to Coconut Island (better known as Gilligan's Island!)  It's protected by the UH marine biology department as a natural preserve reef area so we couldn't get too close with the boat.  Wish we could have snorkeled on that reef!
